~How many stems and what is in a bucket? Each bucket will have 10 bunches, which means 100 stems. All our best flowers go to our wedding clients.
~Is there greenery in the buckets? No, you can order a bucket of just greenery. Just Greenery buckets are $100 for 100 stems. We sell some items by the bunch too.
~How do I get started figuring out what I'll need from you? It’s starts by knowing how many arrangements you’ll have and which vessels you will be using.
~I need specific colors, how does that work? You may order any color or colors you need as long as we grow it. These buckets are 100 stems for $130 each. This allows us the time to choose, maybe even plant, just the right flowers and colors for your wedding. We welcome color swatches or photos of the colors you want.
~What if I need more flowers? We often have other, extra flowers in the field. Let us know ASAP if you need to increase your order.
~How many Quart mason jars will one bucket make? It depends on the fullness of your arrangement. You can loosely plan for 100 stems to fill five mason jars with a regular mouth jar opening. For bud vases, it's best to practice with a few flowers and see what you like the look of. Don't forget to plan in your greenery if you are using some.
~How many vases will each bucket make? Impossible to say, all vases are different and many brides use numerous sizes. My suggestion is to practice a bit. Find blooms in your yard, the neighbors yard or the grocery store and play with the look that you like then count the stems. This will also give you a feel for how much time you need to allow for arranging.
~How long will the flowers last? Down in water, in a cool spot, our flowers will last 5-10 days, depending on the variety. We find wilting occurs when they are put in the sun or out of water. Plan to arrange in vases of water.
~What do I need to arrange the flowers? Helpers, plenty of space, garden clippers, someone to strip the leaves, time, something to transport the vases in, a way to manage the stripped leaves and cut stems, sometimes rocks in the jars if it’s going to be windy, water, a cool place to store the blooms.
~How do I care for the arranged flowers? All flowers use the most water the first 24 hours. Arranged or not, check your water levels, spread out the flowers and fill the vases up. Store them in a cool spot whenever possible. Like all flowers, wind and sun will make them wilt. Do not let your photographer lay them out in the sun.
~Where is the best place to keep them, I don't have a cooler? An air conditioned room, without the air directly on the flowers. Out of the sun and heat. Not in a hot car, an open pickup or a beer cooler.
